JMP® Software: Design and Analysis of Mixture Experiments

Instructor:  Dan Obermiller

Date/Time:  Monday, Sept. 9, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Presidio C, Level 3

Standard Price:  $650

Conference Attendee Price: $520 (650 SAS Training Points / 1.3 EPTOs)

Course Description

This course is for JMP users who deal with mixture or formulation experiments. The course demonstrates how to utilize various approaches to create an appropriate experimental design for commonly encountered situations. The analysis of mixture experiments is also covered, including finding the optimum formulation.

Learn how to:

  • Use classical designs in mixture scenarios.
  • Design mixture experiments using traditional and advanced design strategies.
  • Properly analyze and interpret formulation experiments.
  • Characterize response behavior over the formulation space with a model.
  • Find optimal formulations.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who work with formulations and need to plan their experiments and analyze the results.

JMP® Software:  Analyzing Multidimensional Data

Instructor:  Di Michelson

Date/Time:  Monday, Sept. 9, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Presidio A, Level 3

Standard Price:  $650

Conference Attendee Price: $520 (650 SAS Training Points / 1.3 EPTOs)

Course Description

This course is for JMP users who deal with data with many variables. The course demonstrates various ways to examine high-dimensional data in fewer dimensions, as well as patterns that exist in the data.  Relationships between the observations, as well as relationships between the variables, will be uncovered by using multivariate techniques.

Learn how to:

  • Use principal component analysis to reduce the number of data dimensions.
  • Use loadings plots to understand the relationships between variables.
  • Interpret principal component scores and perform factor analysis.
  • Identify natural groupings in the data via cluster analysis.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who work with high-dimensional data and have a need to identify patterns or groups in the data.

JMP® Scripting Forum

Instructor:  Wayne Levin

Date/Time:  Thursday, Sept. 12, 1 to 5 p.m.

Course Description

Expand your insights into the JMP Scripting Language (JSL)! A panel of experienced JMP scripters will discuss specific JSL applications, including areas necessary to harness JSL's full abstraction capabilities. These insights are best understood through live demonstration. Attendees will be encouraged to ask the panel questions, and a moderator will guide the interactive dialogue. This session will be a valuable forum for users who want to advance their application of JSL.

Prerequisites:  Before attending this course, it is recommended that you complete the Introduction to the JMP Scripting Language course or have equivalent experience.
