Weird alarm for Concat function.
Hi Recently I found a very wierd alarm. previously it works, but now seems there is some problems. details as following. in my table there are three column named as "LSL" "TSL" "USL", both are set as nominal data. when I use concat function to have a new script LSL-TSL-USL. I try with two method as following: Method 1: use JSL to edit the formula
concat(:LSL,"-",:TSL,"-",:USL)
Method 2: use the ...Sean_ShCn0

Conditional Column number calculation
For each
ID
group in the data table, I like to calculate: The count ofPart Number
whereRANK_DESC = 1
The count ofPart Number
whereRANK_ASC = 1
I like to add two new columns PN Count of RANK_DEC =1, PN Count of RANK_ASC=1. any formulas to apply for them? any other better methods to approach? thanks very much in advanced!

mathematical expression for the linear discriminant model
EXTERNAL Hello JMP Team, Kindly indicate how to get the mathematical expression for the linear model when executing linear discriminant analysis. I wish to see the constant and the predictor variables coefficients. I am using sample data Iris.jmp Thanks. Regards Chandra

Which experimental design is most appropriate when one of the factors is hard to change?
Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to DoE. Currently, I’m planning to run a screening design for 8 continuous factors, one of which is hard to change due to technical constraints. Initially, I considered using a Definitive Screening Design (DSD) with a sorted run order. However, I’ve realized that this approach may not be appropriate when a split-plot structure is required. Given this limit...

Control chart limits as percent of actual mean
Dear community, I'm working in pharma industry and I would like to build a control chart according to pharmacopoeia guideline EP 2.9.5. The test is as follow: - weight 20 tablets - mot more than 2 should deviate more than 7.5% from the observed mean - none should deviate more than 15% from the observed mean I there a way to set the limit in the control chart to 7.5% of the mean and 15% of th...

Help with GLM Setup for Species and Year Effects in JMP
Hello, For my thesis, I need to use a GLM model, but I am not sure if JMP is handling my data structure correctly.
I am examining how different factors, such as year and sponge species, affect sponge filtration efficiency. The issue is that I have two sponge species sampled in each year (only two years total), but only one of the species is shared between the years, while the other species is uniqu...lazyamir

about partition
When distinguishing between A and B using continuous variables from tests a, b, c, and d, we employ partitioning to evaluate the contribution of these four tests. However, factors like (a) and (b) appear repeatedly in multiple splits, complicating the analysis. How can we adjust the settings to prevent specific factors from being selected too frequently? Attach the actual results and an image of t...

Help with Multiple Linear Regression
Hi everyone,
I'm a bachelor chemistry student, and I have a task where I need to create a formula using multiple linear regression in JMP to predict the concentration of the distillate.
I already have the dataset, which includes many independent variables, such as:
Temperature
Reflux ratio
Reflux flow rate (debiet)
Pressure in the tower
…and more
The dependent variable I want to predict is the concentrati...LogitParrot179

when does model reduction lead to the problem of multiple comparisons?
My interest is in identifying the strongest predictors of annual per capita growth rate for three groups of bird species: residents, short-distance migrants and long-distance migrants. My model has per capita growth rate as the dependent variable, and as predictors bird density during the breeding season, and 13 environmental predictors (various measures of climate, food abundance and nest predat...
