Quality Tools for Process Improvement Methodologies

Designed experiments are about getting information-rich data faster, so you can confidently take informed action while lowering costs. Not only do you get the insight gained from a structured experiment, but you also get more value when you plow that knowledge back into your business.

In this Technically Speaking, Byron Wingerd will discuss how to lower the threshold for statistical methods, including design of experiments (DOE), process verification, and root cause. Using the Easy DOE utility in JMP, he delves into guided design and analysis for basic experiments and exemplifies a workflow that can take the guesswork out of choosing experiments and analysis methods.

About the Presenter

Byron Wingerd, Principal Systems Engineer

Byron Wingerd helps people understand how to apply data science and statistics to learn more from their data to make better decisions in the life sciences space.

Before joining JMP, Byron worked in biologics manufacturing for the pharmaceutical industry. He was a Process Engineer for Merck in West Point, PA, and, earlier, a Senior Scientist at Emergent BioSolutions, where he was responsible for vaccine production and development.
