Predictor Class Variables

Use this field to indicate class variables to be included as predictor variables.

Some reports can work only with numeric predictors. For these reports, one or more indicator variables consisting of 0s and 1s are created for each level of each class predictor variable.

Caution: Specifying a very large number of variables or using a data set with a large number of variables can prohibitively increase the time needed to run this report. If the number of predictors is greater than 5000 or so, it is likely desirable to perform some type of predictor reduction before running this report.

To Specify One or More Predictor Class Variables:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Predictor Class Variables field, as shown below:
