Gene Symbol

Use this field to specify the variable containing the official gene symbol.

This variable is used to make the web search link to Human Gene Nomenclature Database (HGNC), PubMed, and Entrez.

To Specify a Variable Containing the Gene Symbol:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set.

The Available Variables field is populated with variables from the specified data set.

Highlight a variable from the Available Variables field.

Click to add the selected variable to the Gene Symbol field.
