Class Variables

Use this field to specify the character or numeric variable whose levels form distinct categories. Indicator variables are created for each level of each variable specified here.

To Specify One or More Class Variables:

Specify an Experimental Design SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Left-click a single variable, or hold down Ctrl while left-clicking multiple variables, from the Available Variables field.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Class Variables field, as shown below:

Caution: Specifying a very large number of class variables or using a data set with a large number of variables can prohibitively increase the time needed to run this process.
