Scaling Approach

Use this feature to specify the scaling approach for the RPM Scaling process.

If you specify Total Reads, the specified Experimental Design SAS Data Set must contain a column named TotalReads that contains the corresponding total reads for each sample (row).

If you specify Total Mapped Reads, the summary of all counts across rows for each column is calculated as the within-column Total Mapped Reads.

Note: The Total Reads or the Total Mapped Reads are divided by one million (1,000,000) for use as the RPM scaling factor.
