Grouping Method

Use this feature to specify how the markers are to be grouped.

 

Select:	When you want:
Group by Location	To use the values in the Location variable to generate groups of equal width. Groups constructed using this method can contain different numbers of markers.
Group by Number of Markers	To construct groups with equal numbers of markers. Groups generated using this method can span regions of varying size.
Group by Gene	To assign SNPs to genes based on their locations. If you specify this option, you must also specify a Gene Input SAS Data Set containing information about the identities and positions of relevant genes.

To Specify the Grouping Method

Select the appropriate grouping method by clicking within the appropriate radio button.
