Covariates for Partial Correlations

Use this option to specify numeric variables to use to compute partial correlations.

A partial correlation measures the strength of the linear relationship between variables, while adjusting for the effect of the covariate variables specified here.

These variables specified here are used in the PARTIAL statement of the SAS PROC CORR. Refer to the SAS PROC CORR documentation for more information.

To Specify One or More Covariates:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Covariates for Partial Correlation field, as shown below:
