Lock-In Categorical Predictor Variables

Use this field to specify qualitative variables to always include in the model.

For each level of thesePredictor Categorical Variables, numeric indicator variables of 0s and 1s indicating category membership are constructed when necessary.

Variables specified here are not considered in subsequent predictor reduction steps.

To Specify One or More Categorical Predictor Variables:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Lock-In Predictor Categorical Variables field, as shown below:
