The Create ColumnName process is a JMP Scripting Language (JSL) script that creates and populates a variable called ColumnName, required for files that are to serve as experimental design files (EDFs) needed for import and analysis of data by JMP Genomics.
The file to which the ColumnName variable is to be added must be open and in focus before you open the Create ColumnName process. A typical EDF is shown below.
The AffyLatinSquare_Design.txt file was generated as described for the Create Design File Template process. To illustrate the Create ColumnName process, the ColumnName column was cleared.
