The Variance Components Charts tab contains the following elements:
This bar chart provides an overall view of proportion of variability explained by all specified
variance components, as well as a "Residual" component that models all unexplained variability. The height of each bar is computed via a weighted average of variance component estimates computed from
principal components, weighting by
eigenvalues. This chart can reveal the major sources of variability in your experiment.
This overlay plot shows the profile of each principal variance component across specified effects. It reveals how each principal variance component aligns with each effect. Effects with large bars in the first plot should have large peaks in this plot, and the color should indicate which principal component picked up on it.
