Variables Defining Analysis Groups

Select variables from the {link}{Emphasis}Experimental Design SAS Data Set that distinguish sets of columns or samples considered to be distinct groups for analysis.

• If only one analysis group is designated for control samples (One Set of Control Samples specified for {link}{Emphasis}Sample Set(s) to Use for Subtraction), then the values for each column in this parameter field that indicate controls should be specified as {link}{Emphasis}Control Levels.
• If Multiple Sets of controls are used for different groups of samples, then a subset of the columns specified here must be specified to define the control sets within the analysis groups.
• For Paired sample subtraction, this field should contain two variables: one identifying the paired samples, and the second identifying control measurements within the paired samples. The control identifying variable should be the only variable specified in the {link}{Emphasis}Variables Defining Control Sets field.

8 Specify an {link}{Emphasis}Experimental Design SAS Data Set.

The Available Variables field is populated with variables from the specified data set.

8 Left-click a single variable, or hold down while left-clicking multiple variables, from the Available Variables field.
8 Click to add the selected variable(s) to the Variables Defining Analysis Groups field.
