Absolute Mean Difference Cutoff for Continuous Predictors
Use this option to specify a cutoff for the absolute value of the difference between continuous predictor group means (the numerator of the t-statistic). Only continuous predictors with an absolute difference larger than the specified value are considered for model building.
This option filters predictors with small absolute differences, and can aid in reproducibility of results.
Note: The value that you specify depends on the scale of the data.
To Specify an Absolute Mean Difference Cutoff Value:
8 | Check the Use statistical testing to filter predictors box. |
8 | Either type the desired value into the text field, or move the slider to the right or to the left to change the value. |
Tip: To change the scale of the slider, right-click on the slider and select from the pop-up menu. Change the upper and/or lower boundaries in the window that appears, to rescale the slider and click .
