Annotation MAF Variable
The Annotation MAF Variable field is used to specify the annotation variable that contains the minor allele frequency (MAF) for each marker. This variable is used to determine whether a variant is "rare" or not.
To Specify the Annotation MAF Variable:
8 | Specify the Annotation SAS Data Set. |
All of the variables in the specified annotation data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.
8 | Examine the list of available variables. |
8 | Highlight the variable listing the frequencies of the minor alleles. |
8 | Click to add the highlighted variable to the Annotation MAF Variable field. |
Note: If this variable is not specified, the process automatically computes MAF for each gene. In this case, computation times can be significantly increased, especially if there is a large number of markers.
