Create PARMS statement from optimal model covariance parameter estimates
Check this box to build a PARMS statement that can be used to fix the variance components in a downstream Q-K mixed model analysis to be equal to the covariance parameter estimates from the optimized mixed model. Having this statement eliminates the need for the covariance parameters to be re-computed for every SNP mixed model fit and saves computation time. This option is based on the " population parameters previously determined" approach (P3D) that was proposed concurrently with the optimized K matrix compression method in Zhang et al. (2010).
When this option is checked, a action button appears on the output Results window. Clicking the action button opens a new window with text that follows the PARMS statement syntax that can be copied and pasted into the appropriate PARMS parameter text field on the Q-K Mixed Model process. When the Q-K Mixed Model process is launched using the Launch Follow-Up Process button, the PARMS statement text is automatically entered into the PARMS parameter field.
