Current Value(s) Denoting Missing Genotypes or Alleles
Use this feature to specify the current values of genotypes (or alleles if marker variables contain single alleles) that should be treated as missing. Missing character genotypes (designated by letters or word abbreviations) are recoded as blank spaces ( ). Missing numeric genotypes are recoded as dots “.“.
Note: Genotypes containing one or more missing alleles should be treated as missing.
To Specify the Current Values Denoting Missing Genotypes or Alleles:

8 | If two or more symbols are used in your data, delimit the individual symbols using commas. |
In the example shown below, missing alleles are designated with an asterisk (*) in the input data set.
If there is a comma within the missing genotype or allele value, put the entire genotype or allele in double quotation marks. For example, if 0,0 and 0/0 both represent missing genotypes:
