Marker Name Variable

The Marker Name Variable field specifies the variable in the Annotation SAS Data Set that contains the names of the columns of markers from the Input SAS Data Set.

The values of this variable must exactly match the names of the marker variables if a genotype format is used. The order of the marker variables in the Input SAS Data Set must match the order of the rows in the Annotation SAS Data Set; if not, the Subset and Reorder Genetic Data process must be run before proceeding with this process.

To Specify the Marker Name Variable:

Specify the Annotation SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified annotation data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable listing the names of the markers in the input data set.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Marker Name Variable field, as shown below:
