Strata Variable
Use this feature to specify a variable that defines different strata of your experiment. In a stratified analysis, categorical variables can be adjusted for and designs such as matched or nested case-control can be accommodated by creating separate contigency tables for each stratum (as defined by the strata variables) and combining each stratum's test statisticinto a single statistic without compromising degrees of freedom.
Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel statistics are used to test for association controlling for these strata.
To Specify a Strata Variable:
8 | Specify the Input SAS Data Set. |
All of the variables in the specified data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.
8 | Examine the list of available variables. |
8 | Highlight the desired variable. |
8 | Click to add the highlighted variable to the Strata Variable field. |
