Marker Name Variable 1

Use this field to specify the variable that contains the names of the genetic markers in the Input Linkage Map SAS Data Set specified on the Linkage Map 1 tab. These names are merged to match with those in the Marker Name Variable 2 of the Linkage Map 2 tab.

Important: The Marker Name Variable 1 and Marker Name Variable 2 must be of the same variable type (either both character or both numeric).

To Specify a Marker Name Variable 1:

Specify an Input Linkage Map SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable whose values specify genetic marker name.
