Number of Generations

Use this option to select the number of multiple generations (between 2 and 20) to simulate.

For backcross mating, this value specifies the number of times to backcross offspring with parental lines.

For self mating, this value specifies the number of times to self each individual line after the initial cross.

For outcross mating this value specifies the number of times to outcross individuals after the initial cross.

Caution: Specifying a larger value for this option with can add considerable time and disk space needed for simulating for a large number of crosses and/or markers. Therefore, we suggest using it for a set of pre-selected crosses only.
