Method to Order Populations
Use this option to select the method used order the columns of the matrix P (m x d, where m = number of genetic markers and d is the number of ancestral populations) and the rows of matrix Q (d x n, where n= number of samples) from the factorization of F=PQ.

When you want to: |
Average Admixture |
Order the d ancestral populations by the decreasing variance explained (Cabreros and Storey, 20191). |
Variance Eplained |
Order the d ancestral populations by the average admixture across samples. The average admixture for ancestral population i (i=1,2,...,d) is simply the sum of qij over all subscript j divided by n, where qij (an element of matrix Q) is the admixture probability of population i for individual j (j= 1,2,...,n). |
