Filter to Include Chromosomes

Use this option to specify which chromosomes to import'

This feature is useful when working with very large VCF files (these files can range from 2GB up to more than 40GB). Openning these files and searching through their contents to learn how chromosomes are numbered can be very cumbersome. Another advantage of having this option to include selected chromosomes is that the user can run the analysis by sets of chromosomes (1 or a few) to sort of "parallel" the process as well as to reduce the size of resulting data sets.

To Specify Chromosomes to Include:

Type the number or letter designation for each chromosome to be imported within the text box. The chromosome IDs must be separated by a blank space.

For example, type X Y 4 10 (as shown below) to include only chromosomes X, Y, 4 and 10 in the resulting SAS data set.
