Replace intensities falling at least this many standard deviations above the column mean

Use this field and slider to specify the acceptable number of standard deviations a value can be from the column mean. Values falling at least this specified number of standard deviations above the column mean value are replaced.

This option allows for prefiltering of intensity data within columns before filtering based on parameters specified on the Delete Rows tab.

Note: This option is activated only when the Replace highest values box is checked.

To Specify a Threshold Number of Standard Deviations:

Make sure that the Replace highest values box is checked.

Either type the desired value in the text field or move the slider to the right or to the left to change the value.

Tip: To change the scale of the slider, right-click on the slider and select Rescale Slider from the pop-up menu. Change the upper or lower boundaries in the window that appears, to rescale the slider and click OK.
