Variable Containing Names of Marker Variables
The Variable Containing Names of Marker Variables field is used to specify the variable in the Annotation SAS Data Set that contains the names of the markers from the Input SAS Data Set. The input data set is first ordered according to this variable, and then both data sets are reordered by any reorder variables.
Note: If this variable is not specified, it is assumed that the order of markers (columns) in the input ( genotype) data set corresponds to the order of the markers (rows) in the annotation data set.
Tip: If any subsetting is performed via the Filter to Include Markers or Test on a subset of SNPs parameters, then specifying this variable can speed up the processing time.
To Specify the Variable Containing the Marker Names:
8 | Specify the Annotation SAS Data Set. |
All of the variables in the specified annotation data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.
8 | Examine the list of available variables. |
8 | Highlight the variable that contains the marker names. |
8 | Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Variable Containing Names of Marker Variables field, as shown below: |
