Variables to Retain in Linkage Map Data Set

Use this field to specify the additional variables that you want to retain in the output Linkage Map Data Set. By default, the following variables created by this workflow are retained:

•

Marker_Name variable (contains the values of the marker columns)

•

L_Group variable (contains linkage group information)

•

an order variable (contains the optimal order of the markers), and

•

a variable containing computed genetic marker distances.

Any additional variables that you want to have in the output data set should be specified here.

Caution: Keeping all of the variables can result in large output data sets when the input data set contains a large number of columns and/or columns with large lengths.

To Specify One or More Variables to Retain:

Specify the Annotation SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Variables to Retain in Linkage Map Data Set field, as shown below:
