Recombination Fraction Break Value

Specify a recombination fraction value to use for further breaking groups. If the recombination between two ordered markers in a linkage group exceeds this threshold, the group is broken into two groups between those markers.

Note the following:

•

One linkage group can be broken into multiple (>=2) linkage groups.

•

A marker with recombination greater than the specified value with both flanking markers is placed into a singleton group and dropped out of the analysis.

•

Once a group has been broken into multiple linkage groups, each new group is re-run through the ordering process.

To Specify a Recombination Fraction Break Value:

Check the Break linkage groups between markers with large ordered distances box to activate the Break linkage groups based on: field.

Select Recombination Fraction as the Break linkage groups based on: option to activate this field.

Type a value, between 0 and 1 inclusive, into the Recombination Fraction Break Value text box.
