Number of Subsets Containing a Particular Variable

Use this option to specify the number of times any one variable appears within the total collection of subsets. The initial population size equals this number multiplied by the total number of possible variables divided by the number of variables to select. By default, 30 subsets are specified.

To Change the Number of Subsets:

Choose Genetic Algorithm as the Variable Selection Method.

Either highlight the existing number of subsets and type the desired value in the text field or move the slider to the right or to the left to change the value.

Tip: To change the scale of the slider, right-click on the slider and select Rescale Slider from the pop-up menu. Change the upper and/or lower boundaries in the window that appears, to rescale the slider and click OK.
