Files and Data Sets

Many, but not all, files used or created by JMP Genomics products are SAS Data Sets, which have a .sas7bdat file extension. Refer to the table below for guidance on filetype terminology.

Primary data storage format in JMP Genomics software. Aside from import processes, the vast majority of processes require SAS Data Sets as input. Most of the output data generated is also in this format. Refer to SAS Data Sets for more information.
