Scaling Approach

Use this feature to specify the scaling approach for the RPM Scaling process.

If you specify Total Reads , the specified Experimental Design SAS Data Set must contain a column named TotalReads that contains the corresponding total reads for each sample (row).

If you specify Total Mapped Reads , the summary of all counts across rows for each column is calculated as the within-column Total Mapped Reads.

Note : The Total Reads or the Total Mapped Reads are divided by one million (1,000,000) for use as the RPM scaling factor .
