Categorical Variables

Use this field to specify the non-quantitative variables . The frequencies of the variables specified here are tabulated and plotted.

To Specify One or More Categorical Variables:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the specified data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variables containing the categorical variable(s). To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Categorical Variables field, as shown below:
