Map Function

Use this parameter to specify the map function for converting values between recombination frequency and genetic distance in cM ( centiMorgans ).

Haldane’s function assumes that crossing over events between two consecutive intervals in the chromosome are independent and do not interfere with each of other.

Kosambi’s function makes no such assumption.
