QTL Mapping Method

Use the radio buttons to specify the QTL mapping method that you want to perform.

Available methods are described in the table below:

Method	Definition
Interval Mapping (IM)	This is an extension of single marker analysis. It can do analysis on any genomic location flanked by two markers. IM uses complete marker linkage maps for genomic scanning (LR or LOD profile) for Quantitative Trait Loci (QTLs).
Composite Interval Mapping (CIM)	This is an extension of IM analysis that uses a combination of IM with multiple regression . CIM can improve the precision of QTL mapping in the situation of multiple QTLs on one chromosome .
Multiple Interval Mapping (MIM)	This is an extension of CIM analysis that uses multiple regression to fit multiple QTLs into a linear model. Both main and interaction (epistasis) effects of QTLs can be added into the model or deleted from the model.
