Sex Variable

The Sex Variable field specifies the variable indicating gender. This variable must contain either the numeric values 1 and 2 or character strings starting with "M" and "F" corresponding to male and female, respectively.

To Specify a Sex Variable:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variables specifying sex. In this example, sex is defined by the values in the variable sex .
