Other Effect Variables

Use this field if any of the data sets selected after the first uses an effect variable with another name for the Effect Estimate or Direction Variable .

The names for all of the effect variables for the 2 nd through the last input data sets must be specified here.

To Specify the Other Effect Variable Names:

Type the names of the effect variables from the 2nd through the last input data sets in the text box.

Separate the variables with a space .

For example, to specify the effect variable names for an analysis of three studies where the effect variables in the first, second, and third input data sets are Effect_1 , Effect_2 , and Effect_3 , respectively, complete the following steps:

Specify Effect_1 using the Effect Direction or Size Variable parameter on the General tab.

Type Effect_2 Effect_3 in the Other Effect Variables field, as shown below:
