ID Variables

Use this field to indicate variables whose values form the suffix of names for the columns in the output data set.

Note the following important points:

•	If you specify no By Variables , the concatenated values of ID Variables must be unique across all rows.

•	If you specify By Variables , the concatenated values of ID Variables must be unique across all rows within each unique combination of By Variables .

•	If you leave the ID Variables field blank , the variables are named using ascending positive integers appended to the value specified in the Prefix field.

To Specify ID Variables:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Scroll through the Available Variables field to find the desired ID variable(s).

Left-click to highlight a single variable. Hold down the Ctrl key while left-clicking to select multiple variables.

Once you have selected ID variables, click the button to add them to the ID Variables field.
