The
HapMap Input Engine
imports genetic marker data from the
HapMap website
into a SAS data set containing
genotypes
, and a map data set containing marker information.
One genotype file is needed to run this process. The
genotypes_chr1_CEU_r23_nr.b36_fwd.txt
file, shown below, was downloaded from the
HapMap website
, unzipped, and saved to the
HapMap
directory. The
HapMap
directory, which was created for this example, was saved in the JMP Genomics
Sample Data
folder.
The
genotypes_chr1_CEU_r23_nr.b36_fwd.txt
file is a tab-delimited
.txt
file listing the genotypes at 307659 non-redundant loci on the forward strand of a portion of human
chromosome
1. Genotypes were taken from 90 individuals residing in Utah who have ancestors from Northern and Western Europe.
