Getting Started Wizard

The Getting Started Wizard is an interactive dialog used to quickly choose the right process for your particular data.

What do I need?

More than twenty major data file formats are accepted in this process, from ABI Analyst to WinQTLCart . If you are unsure of your data type, simply select “ I don’t know. Please guide me. ” and the wizard assists in determining this.

Depending on your response, you might also be asked questions about the type of experiment, and how you would prefer the wizard to extract experimental information.

Output/Results

The wizard produces no formal output. Instead, you are presented with a series of dialogs with menus, buttons, and other information whose content varies based on your answers. As information is gathered, the wizard does one or more of the following things:

•	inform you of determinations that it has made,

•	provide a list of requirements for the necessary input file(s) you must provide,

•	instruct you to open, close, or edit data tables,

•	ask for file path information,

•	launch the appropriate process for you.
