Variables Defining Blocks

Use this field to specify the variables whose levels define blocks corresponding to a single random effect . Observations within the same block are assumed to be correlated.

To Specify Variables Defining Blocks:

Specify an Experimental Design SAS Data Set (EDDS).

All of the variables in the data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking on them.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Variables Defining Blocks field, as shown below:
