Parent Variables

Use this field to specify the variables containing the parents' or founders' numerically coded genotypes .

Note : Only loci where all parents or founders are heterozygous are included in the output.

To Specify the Parent Variables:

Specify one of the available SAS Data Sets .

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variables listing the parents’ genotypes. Left-click a single variable, or hold down Ctrl while left-clicking multiple variables.

Note : Each variable specified here corresponds to one individual. Each row in the variables corresponds to an individual locus .

Click to add the highlighted variables to the Parent Variables field, as shown below:
