Sliding Window Variable

Use this field to designate the sliding windows of markers to use to form haplotypes .

Sliding windows, the number of adjacent markers included in a haplotype, only can be defined within a group, so any values of this variable that are repeated in another group are treated as different windows. No overlapping can be performed when windows are defined in this manner.

To Specify a Sliding Window Variable:

Specify the Annotation SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the specified annotation data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable defining the sliding window.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Sliding WIndow Variable field.

Note : If you specify a value in the Sliding Window Variable field, the Sliding Window Size field/slider, located on the Options tab, is disabled.
