K-Means Clustering Method

Use the radio buttons to specify one or the other of two automated methods that can be used to generate the marker clusters.

Available methods are described in the table below:

Method 1	Description
Automated K Means	Computes a fixed number of clusters as specified on the General tab.
Automated Radius K Means	Uses the value specified as the Correlation Radius for Clustering to determine the number of clusters.

The two automated methods call SAS/STAT PROC FASTCLUS. Refer to the SAS/STAT PROC FASTCLUS documentation for further details.

Note : This option is available only when the Use K-Means clustering to reduce marker number check box is checked.

To Specify a Clustering Method:

Check the Use K-Means clustering to reduce marker number box.

Click on the button corresponding to the desired method to specify the clustering .
