Method

Specify one of the methods.

The automated method(s) call SAS/STAT PROC FASTCLUS.

•	Automated K Means computes a fixed number of clusters as specified on the General tab.

•	Automated Radius K Means (if available) uses the Correlation Radius for Clustering parameter below (if available) to determine the number of clusters.

•	Refer to the SAS PROC FASTCLUS documentation for additional details.

The interactive methods invoke the corresponding clustering platforms in JMP for standard k -means, normal density mixtures, or self organizing maps. Refer to the JMP Statistics Guide for additional details.

To Specify a Method:

Check the K-Means Clustering box to activate this field.

Left-click the radio button corresponding to the desired method.
