Standard Error Variable

Use this field to specify the variable that contains standard errors of the effects.

Important : This variable should be named consistently across all of the data sets. If different variable names are used, the additional names must be specified on the Other Variable Names tab.

This variable is used for calculating an inverse- variance based test statistic .

Note : This option is available only when Inverse variance is selected as the Method to Use .

To Specify the Standard Error Variable:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set .

Select Inverse variance as the Method to Use .

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable listing the standard errors.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Standard Error Variable field.
