tab contains the following elements:
The maps plot
Linkage Disequilibrium Units
(LDU) on the
y
-axis and
physical distance
on the
x
-axis. The plots increase monotonically. Flat regions correspond to blocks with high LD, whereas jumps indicate places where LD is low; that is, breaks between blocks.
The maps are created by fitting the Malecot model to sequential regions. Each parameter has a genetic interpretation. Refer to
Maniatis
et al
. (2005)
for additional details.
