K Matrix Square Root Variables

Use this field to specify the variables containing columns of the square root of the K matrix, which is a matrix containing kinship coefficients computed using either the Relationship Matrix or Kinship Matrix processes.

This matrix is used as a random effect in the model.

Note: If a Pedigree ID Variable is not specified, this matrix should contain the same number of variables as observations in the input data set. When a pedigree ID variable is specified, this matrix should have the same number of variables as the number of individuals in the largest pedigree in the data set.

To Specify the K Matrix Square Root Variables:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable(s) listing columns of the square root of the K matrix. To select multiple variables at once, hold down Ctrl while left-clicking.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the K Matrix Square Root Variables field.
