Position Variable 1

Use this field to specify the variable containing position of markers on their respective linkage group or chromosome. This value must be numeric and measured in centiMorgans.

This process displays a comparison of the values of this variable with those of Position Variable 2 (specified on the Linkage Map 2 tab) for markers in common (and on the same linkage group) across the two linkage maps.

To Specify a Position Variable 1:

Specify an Input Linkage Map SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable whose values specify marker position.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Position Variable 1 field, as shown below:
