If your genotypes are not already represented with the numbers 2, 1, and 0, select this option to create a data set with genotypes recoded numerically according to the number of the major alleles contained in the genotype. This option should be selected when you need numeric genotypes for subsequent processes, such as PCA for Population Stratification, Distance Matrix and Clustering, or the Predictive Modeling processes. In the results journal that is created by this workflow, click on the button for Marker Properties to see this data set.
