ID Variables

Use this field to specify a variables used to uniquely identify lines or rows n the input data set.

The ID variables are used to create a _cross_ variable in the output file. If no variables are specified, the row number is used to create a _cross_ variable.

To Specify the Input ID Variables:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight one or more variables.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the ID Variables field, as shown below:
