Control Buttons
Use the control buttons to interact with the decision tree.
Split
Creates a partition of the data using the optimal split. To specify multiple splits, hold the Shift key as you click
Split
.
Prune
Removes the worst split.
Go
(Available when you are using validation.) Automatically adds splits to the decision tree until the validation statistic is optimized. See
Validation
. Without validation, you simply decide the number of splits to use in the partition model.
Color Points
For categorical responses, colors observations according to response level. These colors are added to the data table.
